Speaking to Grad Students/Programs about Faculty Jobs at Community Colleges and AOIs

I’m available to provide talks for graduate students, programs, and departments about the faculty job search for community college and other open access institution positions. Having been on the job market myself recently, I can speak to the challenges–and benefits–of seeking these positions. The application process looks very different than it does for the R1/R2/SLAC application process, and I can help students navigate this and provide more information to graduate departments to better help their students navigate it.

I’ve previously been invited to speak on Zoom at events held by Idaho State University and The University of Washington for their graduate students in English and English Education, and I’ve mentored our graduate student Writing Across the Curriculum Fellows on the topics above as well.

Please get in touch at sgerrity@hostos.cuny.edu for more information on rates and availability.
